McIntyre scholarship established with $ 50,000 endowment to Northern
Montana State University-Northern announced Monday that it is celebrating a new endowment of $ 50,000, a gift from the estate of the late Ethel A. (McIntyre) Hess.

While in Northern, she was active in various committees and contributed to NoMoCo, the school newspaper. In 1995, she was invited to attend the Northern Golden Graduations – 50th reunion – and although she could not attend, Ethel Hess wrote to the Alumni Association: “I spent two of the most years. happy with my life on campus.
“The world definitely needs more great educators, and we are grateful for Ethel’s kind gift that will be given in perpetuity to support generations of teachers,” said Shantel Cronk, executive director of Montana State University-Northern Foundation.
